We are busy preparing for another amazing season.  We are excited about the new art by James Dunbar.  His image reflects our theme this year, “The Color of Fresh!”   Astoria Sunday Market is a visual delight from the produce and flower stands to our nearly 200 craft, artist and food vendors.

EMPTY STREETS TO FESTIVE MARKET!

The 2016 image for Astoria Sunday Market is painted by artist James Dunbar from Portland, Oregon.

James Dunbar Artist
The Painter of Colorful Memories
His heavily sculptured oils and bold use of color composition have earned him the reputation of a highly sought after commissioned artist. He has been featured in several Portland area galleries including Forever Art, Schaffer’s Fine Art Gallery, and the Lawrence Gallery in Sheridan Oregon’s wine country. James is from Portland and will be at Astoria Sunday Market opening day.

Michael Mathers attended nearly every Astoria Sunday Market the first half of the 2011 season and countless hours
photographing the Market from set-up to tear-down to create  this wonderful time-lapsed movie from his still images of the Market.
Michael is a professional photographer and created this movie as a personal project. Enjoy!
