Market Biz Kids & The Young Entrepreneurs Club

Our annual Biz Kidz Boot Camp covers all you need to know about creating, marketing, and selling a product at Astoria Sunday Market.  You will meet past Biz Kidz and Market vendors throughout the day.  Lunch is provided to all participants.  There is no charge for this workshop thanks to our sponsors Recology of Western Oregon, Jeremy Mills State farm, Clatsop Community Bank and Polk-Riley Printing & Design!

2018 Schedule

Monday, January 29 — Open House and tips on creating or inventing your own product.  Pizza & beverages served.  Begins at 6 pm.  4-H Clubhouse at Clatsop County Fairgrounds.

Saturday, March 10 — Boot Camp for Biz Kidz and Young Entrepreneurs.  10 am to 4 pm — Columbia Center, Coho Room, 2021 Marine Drive, Astoria

Sunday, April 22 — Annual Vendor Luncheon.   10 am to 1 pm — Astoria Armory, 1636 Exchange — Lunch for Biz Kidz paid!

Sunday, May 13, 2018 — Opening Day of Astoria Sunday Market

Tuesday, June 12 — Workshop: To Market, To Market! Preparing for your first day.    Begins at 6 pm.  4-H Club House on Walluski Loop by Fairgrounds

Sunday, June 17 –1st Biz Kidz Market Day!

Sunday, September 2 — Final Biz Kidz Market Day

Sunday, October 14 — Close of 2018 Astoria Sunday Market season

Monday, October 15 — Grant Deadline (postmarked or delivered)

The  4-H Club House located on Walluski Loop by the Clatsop County Fairgrounds.

The Boot Camp focuses on the ABCs of building a business and at the conclusion of these workshops participants will have the backbone of their business plan for submission to the annual grant program.

We encourage all participants to visit Astoria Sunday Market prior to the final workshop and your first day as a Biz Kid vendor.




The 4-H Foundation provided a $2,000 grant in 2009 to support the start-up of this program.   Recology of Western Oregon has supported this program since its first season ensuring that the workshops remain free and that we have funds to purchase, repair and replace equipment.

The Young Entrepreneurs is a program of Astoria Sunday Market working in partnership with 4-H of Clatsop County to offer an opportunity for Kids K—12 to bring their special talents, skills or interests to a whole new level! Become a Young Entrepreneur or Market Biz Kid by growing or making a product and selling it at Astoria Sunday Market !
