What a wonderful thing to do in Captain Phil’s honor. Captain Phil Harris Highliner Competition: Will his sons be there to compete in his place? Would love to see them continue in their father’s footsteps.
Daddy Phil and Captain Phil will be greatly missed. Fair Seas and Good Fishing to you all.
That’s a cool thing. Hopefully his boys will be there to represent. Being from racing there has been people who have passed and we have had memorials and events in their memory and always family/crew of the persons have been there and it has made it more memorable for the fan. I learned at a young age from my fathers racing that without the fans you have nothing.
Deadliest Catch is produced so well, narrated so well and has a “cast” so real that you can’t help but begin to care about the men who are sharing their daily lives with the world. There are many people who come into our lives, Captain Phil Harris is one who will always live in my heart and memory. Thank you DSC and Mike Rowe for Deadliest Catch.
I have been watching deadliest Catch since it started with my family… I am sad to see the empty feeling of not seeing his love and dedication to his crew members and his 2 boys. I was watching the season 5 series and realized that He was talking about certain things before his passing as if he knew was leaving this place and going to entering the gates of Heaven. It was kind of a feeling of saddness this last episodes of his words that he would say….. Boys He knew. And now you have to appreciate the things that will be dear to your hearts. Listen and you will hear your Daddy… Good bye Phil.. We will all miss you dear. I will be watching the upcoming events of your 2 boys.
We have been watching Deadliest Catch for a while.Phil is my favorite.I will miss him a whole lot.I hope your boys does and touched so many people like you did.
Gonna miss you!!

Capt. Phil was a true fisherman as is everyone on the show. The man showed true class. He gave tuff love, and he showed me he loved his sons dearly. I will always miss him forever. God Bless all the people on “Deadliest Catch”..
OMG! THEM PLACING HIS ASHES IN THE TANKS IS ONE OF THE NEATEST THINGS IVE EVER SEEN. ALL I CAN SAY IS BEAUTIFUL PHIL WOULD HAVE LOVED IT. I DONT CARE WHAT EVER IT TAKES I WANT TO GO TO THIS EVEN IF I HAVE TO TRAVEL TO SHOW OUR RESPECTS. LAST SEPT. I HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING CAPT. PHIL HARRIS AND HIS BOYS . ILL SAY IT AGAIN SALT OF THE EARTH, LOVING MAN .FAME HAD NOT CHANGED HIM . GOD BLESS HIM AND HIS BOYS, HOPING TO SEE HIS SONS AGAIN
I have had the pleasure of meeting Capt. Phil twice in the last two years, salt of the earth kind of guy, as are his boys. It was sad at CatchCon this last May in Seattle, Phil not being on the panel with the other captains. Really looking forward to the fishermen’s festival, fishermen and loggers, who could ask for more!
I have watched from the beging, phil was a true man and father,he loved life,he loved his sons,he loved life to the fullest,he is truely missed, but remembered,he will always be in my heart,as well as his sons, they are strong in heart, they will carry on his love for life, and carbbing, the show is awesome, keep it up,looking forward to next year.love all the people involed with the show.
