The Festival offers an opportunity to Witness a real live coast guard helicopter rescue;  Listen to Highline fishermen explain all aspects of their fishery in front of actual fishing boats;  and to Cheer on the men that risk their lives to bring us seafood as they compete in several fun and often grueling competitions.

Astoria Sunday Market

The Market, open from 10 to 3 every Sunday from Mother’s day through October 11, features nearly 200 vendors offering locally-made products that have been hand-crafted, grown, created or gathered by the farmers, craftspeople and artisans featured each week.  In addition, the Market has a lively food court with regional entertainment, making this the gathering place each Sunday for locals and visitors to the region.
