Astoria Public Market (cruise ship market) Details:

 

Here are some things that you need to know BEFORE you apply. This is not to discourage you, but just to ensure that you understand how this market works. 

​

 

- The market takes place along the waters of the Columbia River at Pier One in Astoria. The address is 422 Gateway Avenue.

​

- This market is managed on-site by two longtime APM vendors, and overall management is provided by the Astoria Sunday Market manager. Astoria Sunday Market is a program of the Astoria Downtown Historic District Association.

- There is often weather, especially wind. Plan on bringing/wearing layers, as it is often cold. 

​

- The day is long - up to 8 hours - with customer traffic mostly near the beginning and near the end. You must stay until the on-site manager calls the day. 

​

- Your product must be appropriate for a suitcase or you need to be willing to ship. 

​

- There are o-rings in the pavement that you will use, with ratchet straps that you bring, to hold your canopy down - this is required. No exceptions.

​

- Cruise ships cancel or change docking times at any time, even morning-of. The port lets us know as soon as they know. You will need to be flexible. 

​
